So I have made a modified home routine that at least will maintain what I had before the gyms closed. I actually have made gains. In my second week of working out at home I have gained 2 lbs and lost 1.2% body fat- that is burn the fat gain the muscle. Not bad. Diet is extremely important in this. I think I am doing better with my diet (eating more) and it likely had much more to do with my improvement than the workout.

Mental health tip of the day for you all.
I used to experience the "Runners high". It's better therapy than gardening.

Trump and his supporters should stop playing the victim and lay off the conspiracy delusions.
Yeah, the rest of the Western governments don't like Trump either. They're also angling for taking more rights, and we know the Europeans love taking rights.

His point there had nothing to do with your imaginary conspiracy theories. It had to do with whether or not Trump will stand strong on this or fold under the inevitable media pressure.

Netflix can be good for mental health. Especially comedy. Laughter is good for you. The junk food is a depressant though.

I not longer run steady state - I do HIIT. But for me I had to run future than 2 miles before I was feeling good. Sort of a bad trait for the PT test. :-)

This is not my first major disaster or political upheaval.

    They all follow a pattern.

    1. News tells you useless information.

    2. Government tells you stupid information...but say to never trust other sources.

    3. people panic and do dumb things out of fear or PERCEIVED fear of something happening.

    4. what you see with your own eyes is never what is reported in any media.

    5. NO ONE is coming to help you.

    *******************************************

You will be much better off if you trust your own eyes, ears, and brain & don't let those with an agenda drive your actions.

    **************************

    Some words of comfort;

We are a HUGE country with diverse geography, population, and attitudes.

We are also the most resourceful and innovative people on the planet.
Other countries may steal our ideas, but they will never dream them up themselves. Only we do that. Then we also build that dream and make it work.

Many smaller countries can fit inside ours with area left over. What might work in a country the size of Illinois will not work here. This is NOT Guatemala, Argentina, Kosovo, Serbia, or Rwanda. The hatreds there are centuries old.

This is the United States. If you see yourself as an American first and foremost, we will get through this.

If you see yourself as whatever race or political party you are first and foremost, then you are part of the problem and you belong with those of centuries old grudges too. You will fit in nicely.

OUR America is hemorrhaging lives right now. Time to apply a tourniquet and stop the lives being lost or we as a country will be lost. DO YOUR PART, and shut up about Trump, the Democrats, the Right, the Left, or any of that other crap. It does not help in any way.

We have a hole in our ship you can drive a truck through, yet some are on deck pointing at who is to blame for it, rather than helping each other don our life preservers and lower away the life boats. If this is what we have become, then we deserve to drown.

Democrats are not the problem, Trump is not the problem, Republicans are not the problem. Our hatred of all three is the problem.

    FIX IT NOW !!!

Very little change for me since I work from home anyway. The only difference is not eating out which I did little of anyway.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

It is obvious that a few here have managed to kill off what few functioning brain cells they had before this. They choose to live in fear and believe that stripping other Americans of their inherent rights and destroying the economy that made this the greatest country in the history of the world is somehow going to make them safe.

I suppose I should pity them, but I am having trouble feeling anything other than contempt for them.

I didn't settle into a run and get any rhythm going until I got more than two miles in. Then it would take another two miles to reach that runners high point.
