We are set up for "the big one" in other ways. Population density in urban areas for one. World travel for another. We can't shut down these markets but we can reduce the numbers of airports that accept overseas flights and shut them down quickly when trouble hits. We can develop a backup plan for urban centers that will allow mass transit to be all but shut down. We can for the most parts shut down all air passenger travel in and out of hot zones and do it early on. We can make regional, not sweeping "one size fits all" state wide restrictions.
Population density triggers mother earth to want to take a flea dip. She is gradually finding ways around our technology as we make our cities more and more dense and as they control statewide politics in too many states.
Humans are large , territorial omnivores not meant to live on top of each other. We will be much safer when we stop fighting mother earth.

Yeah $35 m to start. $7 m for one charter school in DC. $278 m for the IRS. $36 m for the National Center for Advancing Translational Services "who in hell are they"? $300 m for corporate broadcasting. A 1,000 page bill full of Pelosi pork. https://thehill.com/blogs/congress-b...f-not-leverage
I'd support the JFK thing as long as it included a statue of JFK with a prostitute on his Lap and a syringe full of dope in his butt. Very fitting for a 'hoing/druggie ex-president.
