I found this rock when I was young maybe 18 or 20. It is carved. It looks to me like it is a map. It also matches up somewhat with the river system of the area. It has always been one of my most treasured possessions. This is a small rock, it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. On the other side it looks like it has a mountain where the river system began from, pretty cool.

Here is the current river system from the place where I found it. I wonder about the age of the map, and perhaps if it tells a story of how the rivers once were at a specific time in history? There is some resemblance to the current river system. But the Missoula floods came through many times and there are 3 miles deep of lava flows that depressed the land into a basin hence the name Columbia Basin.
