I found one political scientist who used "corporate fascism" in the title of his article but within the first few sentences switched to corporatocracy. That would be more descriptive and accurate, for we live in a time where capitalism can be defined as the state serving special interest groups like large corporations, unions, even identity groups (the contemporary replacement for class). Fascist corporations where groups like industry, agriculture, guilds (unions) etc, true, but they were the rod serving the ax, the state.



Fascism is used by the OP pejoratively, inflammatorily.

Not that I think it will make one iota of difference to you. However, there were books written about it.

Right. The government was basically funding brown-shirts to suppress all dissidents with the official line.

There was a fascist movement on the right, but nobody paid attention and it died.

Should there be punishment for people who claim fascism and xenophobia exist today? Or should we be content with just calling them retarded? I am leaning toward corporeal punishment.

I believe the Black Legion and the Silver Legion were mentioned above without also saying the first was an offshoot of the KKK, a Democratic organization, and the second was a form of nazism.

More important were the Silver Legion of America, founded in 1933 by William Dudley Pelley, and the German American Bund, which emerged the same year from a number of older groups, including the Friends of New Germany and the Free Society of Teutonia. Both of these groups looked to Nazism for their inspiration.

Right. It was designed so that corporations (industry, agriculture, military, etc) served the state.

Socialism/communism also authoritarian.

Democracy/capitalism, undermining social order and shared values, can also easily drift into authoritarianism.
