No charges for Akron teacher accused of arranging to meet with people posing as 15-year-old boy
This is an interesting result. Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh and Stow Police Chief Jeff Film announced Thursday that no charges will be filed against an Akron teacher who appeared in a video interacting with a person pretending to be a 15-year-old boy. Walsh said Ohio’s importuning law allows for prosecution of online predators if a sting involves law enforcement officers posing as a child, but does not permit prosecution if stings are carried out by members of the public.
“. . . . When an adult citizen decides to make their own ‘To Catch a Predator’ TV show and take part in a confrontation, this is not a crime. A citizen cannot pose as a minor child under the law, only a police officer can do that. . . . ”

I know the Walsh and she's a hard-ass. If there was a way to charge this scum-bag, they'd do it.
I have tried the bulk of the lawsuits I've tried here:
