Experts warned of this and make sure you check out book
linked below. Both are well done.

The video is a bunch of Monday morning quarterbacking and stating the obvious. What it misses is that policy is not made, in this case, on solely one set of factors such as the scientific / health concerns. They are balanced with other concerns such as contrary health factors (mental health and substance abuse with the lockdowns) and economic factors for example.

We have other threads that cover these issues and many experts believe the lockdowns cause more harm that good. What do you think?

Ignore the drive by poster. I have made a couple of good points here and he isn't interested. Screw him.

These lockdowns are a frakking mess.
the longer we stay locked down, the worse the economy is going to get. My real beef is where some governors tell you where you can shop when other stores are almost the same business.
"You can shop at Tractor Supply, but you can't go to Farm and Fleet" defies logic.
"There's only one place we'll allow you to shop for beauty supplies" when other businesses are identical.
These are only a couple of examples and I'm sure there are more.
Then along comes Cuomo, for example, who says he's not going to reopen until he gets the money he wants for the fed gov.
It is my suspicion that this is piracy/ransom at the least, and hostage taking at the worst.

Hopefully the Feds give Cuomo nothing.

One can only smile at the above circle-jerk. But readers who have looked at different areas realize the 'stay in place' orders worked and the spread has slowed. States that didn't stick to stay in place and masks are having their numbers rise. But remote areas are by their very nature stay in place. Of course this is changing too as development in rural areas grows. My wife and I were out there yesterday and massive shopping areas occupy the interstate roads today. Masks were worn and PA is doing better, now opening will be next task.

Re Masks, I can't stand them as I am still an active soul and I feel like breathing deeply. But I think they may become a common thing similar to what some Asian nations do. Why get sick if you are only moderately inconvenienced. This morning I talked to a Japanese woman cleaning her porch early and I commented as she she had a mask on outside and we were fifteen feet apart. She just shrugged, with masks expressions are hard to judge. see this:

Not sure where you reside and you're (of course) free to ignore this, but hey, do what you want.
