Barack Obama is Using Wuhan Coronavirus to Push Another Agenda .....

Former President Barack Obama is weighing in on Wuhan Coronavirus...with a few ulterior motives.

We've seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can't afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall. https://t.co/K8Ucu7iVDK

Obama is using the current crisis to push hysteria about climate change. He's also making an attempt to protect his legacy. …..snip~

LMAO and the left has the gall to talk about Trump being stupid. Now BO the Peep comes out to take the trophy.

Oh I disagree with Katie on the Peep making an attempt to protect his legacy. What legacy? Damn near everything he did has been erased.

...or, maybe he actually means what he says and that the comparison is valid.

Then again talking about car emissions. Doesn't have anything to with the Coronavirus. Most would know this. Even the non political.

    From Car and Driver:
Relaxed fuel-economy rules are now in effect. For new cars built over the next six years, automakers must still increase efficiency and lower carbon dioxide emissions each year but at a lower climb versus the original Obama-era regulations from 2012.
Under the new rule affecting new cars and light-duty trucks from the 2021 through 2026 model years, fuel consumption and emissions must each drop by 1.5 percent annually as compared to the 2012 ruling's 5 percent annual decreases. The draft proposal from the Trump administration in 2018 had frozen the 2020 model-year standards and applied them through 2026. …..snip~

    Umm..ok.

All he was really doing was drawing a comparison between the two issues and unheeded warnings.

With aviation grinding to a halt and hundreds of thousands of human beings working from home, various emissions of gases across many countries are likely following the identical downward path. While human beings working from home will possibly grow with the use of home heating and electricity, the curtailing of commuting and the general slowdown in economies will, in all likelihood have an impact on overall emissions. From Car and Driver:

It does have to do with climate change, it does have to do with breathing in cleaner air, hence respiratory illnesses would go down and not so susceptible to a virus such as this.
Scientists say that by the advent of May, while CO2 emissions are at their peak, thanks to the decomposition of leaves, the level recorded might be the lowest since the financial crisis over a decade ago.

An analysis executed by the weather website Carbon Brief recommended that there have been a 25 per cent drop in energy use and emissions in China over a week. This is in all likelihood to cause an average fall of approximately 1 per cent in China’s carbon emissions this year, experts believe. Both China and Northern Italy have additionally recorded considerable falls in nitrogen dioxide, which is linked with reduced car journeys and industrial activities. The fuel is a dangerous air pollutant and additionally in a roundabout way contributes to the warming of the planet.

It really doesn't. Other than people being lockeddown wont be out driving around.

Oh and the emissions still dropped. To a more realistic achievable goal than the peeps 5% decrease.

If the left was truly about respiratory illnesses. They would have banned Cigarettes years ago. But then they do need that money coming in from their taxes.

Cuomo is too. He is trying to push through Green New Deal measures in NY under the cover of coronavirus.
