Teachers Urge Government To Reopen Schools Before Students Learn To Think For Themselves

This is an important public service announcement. Alright, COVID-19 kills. But we face a larger danger with this lock-down: our children are going to start thinking for themselves if they are absent from our schools for too long. We need to get them back into our indoctrination centers to create the next generation of complaint citizens.

U.S.—Teachers at government schools have raised their concerns that the recent closure of their institutions will have a damaging effect on students. In particular, the nation's educators are worried that the longer the schools are closed, the more likely it is that students will begin thinking for themselves, learn life skills away from the government school system, and realize how much more they learn at home.

"We must reopen as soon as possible -- before they regain their ability to have independent thoughts," said New York 4th-grade teacher Ms. Jenny Mudd. "This is an urgent crisis. We realize we have to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus, but we must also prevent the spread of unapproved ideas. There's a balance there."

"Reopen the schools before it is too late."

Sure enough, studies have already shown a strong correlation between everyone being homeschooled and a concerning spike in independent thought. Students who have been away from the government school system for even a week stop feeling depressed and anxious all the time and even show a shocking increase in the ability to form thoughts and ideas not approved by the government.

Teachers have further pointed out that parents aren't properly equipped to indoctrinate their children with government propaganda. "I went to school for eight years to be able to do this," said Portland kindergarten teacher Ms. Pinkerton. "Parents just don't have the experience of stuffing kids' heads full of a statist worldview seven hours a day like I do."

Ive come to believe that its not the teachers in the classroom. Yes there are some that want to indoctrinate and instill their views on life and politics and some who have an agenda, but I believe most do not and many many teachers, far more than not are against or dislike public schools agendas.

Where do I get these thoughts from, two of my daughers that are teachers. Its the schoolboards that set the agenda, local school district boards and state school boards.

As an aside, I wonder if home schooling increases after this pandemic runs it's course ??

My niece and her husband set up their "school room" and the kids are learning quite well. I have a feeling some parents will continue to homeschool after this is over when they discover they really can teach their kids as well -- or better -- than the public school system.

What a bunch of crap. They are afraid we might find out they aren't needed that much in this internet age.

Three of my grandchildren were home-schooled and they all are or were on the Dean's List.

There's something wrong with this story: "government schools": kids are no longer depressed and anxious being away from "government schools". And what school does this "teacher" work for? That isn't referenced in the article. That article has an anti public schools slant to it.

    Something's not right.
