    What’s wrong with Husky’s. Ducks I get. Beavers as well. The female teams are called “the lady beavers”.

    Huskies pass. It has to be. I got one of my degrees from Northeastern (Huskies) which was only known for hockey.
    I have to laugh that the Lady Beavers kept that name during all this political correctness.

    Better than being after a nut like a Buckeye. LOL

    The strangest one is Stanford. Their name is The Cardinal" but their mascot is a fir tree.

    I was was at a Husky game and the Washington mascot was walking around the track surrounding the field. He walked up the the Stanford tree, knocked him down then lifted his leg on him.


    Another time Washington was playing Colorado. Colorado has this goofy looking buffalo which more resembled a bumble bee. The Husky mascot knocked him down, then acted like he was humping him when he went to stand up.


    The Husky mascot was restricted to the student section after that one.
