    sounds like Washingtons mascot was bringing it. Too bad there football team rarely does.

    Give Ohio State some credit. They and USC are the only teams to be able to break through Southern dominance of football over the last twenty years, and Ohio State did it twice.

    Auburn Tigers, two mascots, a Tiger and War Eagle.

    If I remember correctly Crimson Tide came from a sports writer referring to the large size of Bama's linemen sometime early 1900s
