Apparently not . I can't view the world in the context of a competition . I much prefer it to be a collection of stable sovereign nations , doing the best they can to look after all their citizens .......if I'm rooting for any country , it's gotta be Australia , because that's what I am and always will be.

The corona virus has only been in the headlines since January , so I doubt that it's the reason. It's my opinion that the whole structure of global trade will be changed in the years of the post virus recovery , with most countries focusing more on their own self sufficiency and domestic manufacturing/consumption, and far less emphasis on manufacturing for export. I think excess products and commodities will be the only markets that will stay similar to what we regard as normal .
I think China will be the loser here Post-Virus. China's conduct has been despicable. I saw an article that Italy sent supplies to China and then China sold them back to Italy? I have a client that had their medical exports to the USA seized by the Chi-Coms. My daughter's hospital got a shipment of Chinese "masks" - garbage. The Chinese threatened to withhold drugs. The Chinese used the CCP-19 crisis to try to seize advantage in the Chinese Sea. Stack up all it has done and it doesn't look like the Chi-Coms are a good honest and fair trading partner and member of the international community. Just my opinion.

China's economy will have to be refocused as supply chains move out. China will have to put their military modernization and expansion off for the time being.

That's understandable . There's so much garbage and misinformation doing the rounds , that's it hard to believe what's true and what isn't . My sobering thought , is that it's the worst time to be pushing geo-politics . The media is to blame for most of this , and the people who own them , and have vested interests in forming public opinion , to suit whatever their purpose is . Exploiting human emotions during a crisis , is poor form at best , and at worst , complete and utter treason.

You seem to be viewing this like China was the only country selling stuff ? .....global trade works both ways.

I am not emotional about this. I'm speaking pure fact.

It's starting to effect me .....I just think we should all be doing what we can to minimize the risks and keep our economies ticking over until it eases off........by all accounts , that's a matter of months .

Fantastic, I dont see any difference between Russia controlling all our pharmaceutical manufacturing and China.

Americans have to face reality, if you want safety, if you want jobs and a robust economy, you are going to have to pay a little more.

The difference is going food shopping in walmart with rude people that bang into you, cut you off with their cart and jump in front of you, LONG LONG CHECKOUT LINES where youre frozen food gets soft, where you cant find an employee and if you do they look miserable, or a Publix that costs a little more, is spotless has courteous smiling employees that you can find all over the store, produce thats edible and looks attractive and meat thats cut there and doesnt come pre cut in a box, where if you do have a problem with anythng you bought, you tell them at the courtesy counter and they ask you if you want another item or your money back and you dont have to bring the other item.

Ill pay a little more, we MUST start thinking about our country our CITIZENS

Obama took us in a direction thats caused this rift between democrats and republicans, he caused MUCH of this foreign policy fiasco
    LETS GO BRANDON
    F Joe Biden
