    Shooting?

Anyone been to the range lately? They have opened up again but I myself havn't gone yet. More due to laziness then Covid.

I love all the shooting sports. Archery, black powder, shooting clay, defensive drills. Ive been shooting and hunting since I was 8yo.

Its not a real good time to buy unless you really need it. Its a sellers market out there.

Our of those you mention the Taurus and Bersa's are not good, especially the Bersa's. The G2C is probably the best of the Taurus's and has had a lot of good press tho I basically avoid Taurus arms now. With the price for a S&W Shield why bother with a taurus anyway?

Beretta's are quality guns but I know little about these models. Were I to buy a single stack 9mm I'd buy a Shield. I carry a SIG P365 and its absolutely the finest concealed gun Ive ever owned.

The G2 is actually a pretty good gun. They now have the G3 series out, which is getting even better reviews.

    Beretta M1951 9mm Semi-Auto, 1 Mag. $249.99. classicfirearms.com
The Brigadier is a classic. There are however more modern handguns you may want to consider.

    Bersa BPCC: $267.50. classicfirearms.com
Bersa handgun are very much underrated. The Thunder 9 is an excellent handgun, but I have no personal experience with the model you listed.
    Beretta Nano: $259.99. ammoland.com
Good quality, well made, but I personally don't care for it. Just a matter of personal preference.

I'm able to shoot here at home, but haven't lately. Been cutting trees.

I have a little Bersa 380 and it's actually pretty good. Lightweight, accurate. Doesn't ever jam. My husband has a number of supposedly better handguns, a Kimber Eclipse, a Kimber Elite, and a heavy Colt Python revolver, but I don't actually think they're any more accurate than my little Bersa - and, they're heavy, too.

We have a range and a bank, but no one's been out shooting for a while. Just too busy.

As I said, Bersa handguns are very much underrated. The only one I have a lot of experience with is the Thunder 9, but I know several people who own them and they all are very happy with them. Last summer, I was on the range with one of my students who had one and just to do it, I switched guns with him, set up the new 2019 FBI handgun qualification course and shot it with his gun. It was no problem. The gun performed as it should and I shot 100 with it.

My husband has a number of supposedly better handguns, a Kimber Eclipse, a Kimber Elite, and a heavy Colt Python revolver, but I don't actually think they're any more accurate than my little Bersa - and, they're heavy, too.
I have a Kimber Pro carry that I got back in 1994. Kimber wasn't as well known then as it is now and they were trying to get their guns out in front of people, so they reached out to instructors and were letting certified instructors buy one for 300 Dollars. We paid 12 or 1300 Dollars a few years ago for my wife's Kimber Aegis. That is quite a difference. Kimber makes a good handgun, but I don't carry mine anymore. I use it occasionally on the range, mostly to let students experience shooting a 1911. I just moved away from .45s in general. The Honey Badger's Aegis is a 9mm and it is really nice gun.

The Python is the gold standard for revolvers. Colt stopped making them for a long time and just started producing them again a few months ago. I haven't used one of the new ones yet, but the originals were a joy to shoot.

To be honest my last experiences with Bersa's have been many years ago when we used to take them off of gang bangers and they were junk. Taurus and Charter Arms were in that same category back then but both have developed into real good bargains for the money. Charter makes a real fine revolver for the price and best of all they'v kept the .44 spl alive and well, a very fine round. The Taurus G2 has gotten nothing but raves, again especially for the price.

I have a .454 Raging Bull. Its OK but just never achieved the accuracy expected from such a hunting revolver. I had to send it back for shaving lead and I doub't I'd buy it again. The G2C is the one Taurus I'd give serious thought to.
