Here's a closer shot of the Lamb's Ear, and a pic of a large sandstone formation I took while out for a ride yesterday. It's quite large, at least 10-12 feet high.

@countryboy Whoa that's spectacular, what a strange place for a sandstone formation. I wonder what the geologic story is on that place? I love geology.

Me too!

Actually, a good percentage of the state of Ohio has a sandstone strata layer. What's odd is that such a large chunk would be pushed up above ground like that. There's another block about a quarter the size of that one, back and to the left. I'll have to see if I can get a pic of it. Some kind of geological upheaval took place there, who knows when.
