    Ufc 249

I've seen UFC discussion here before. In case anyone who's a fan hasn't seen the card yet, I won't discuss any of the results.

But...for the most part, especially during the prelims, I got the impression that the lack of crowd reaction might have made the judging much more accurate.

I don't agree with all of the results per se, but I didn't see any of the 30/27 scores by one judge, when the other 2 had it much closer.

I have to think that the judges weren't affected by crowd reaction...often to punches that don't land.

Gaethe winning over Ferguson was predicted by many experts and other mma fighters.

I was not surprised he won.

I started watching and was a fan of boxing since I heard the Sonny Liston vs Cassius Clay fight on the radio
I stuck with boxing until the early 90s when mma grabbed me.

All through those years there have been many many controversial decisions, some quite blatant...they will never get the money out of combat sports.

My dad did not like most pro sports because he thought they were rigged, including baseball and football.

Gaethe looked better than ever before. He was disciplined, and for the first time ever, didn't just bull rush his opponent. His post fight interview was interesting. He cited 'having too much fun' as the reason for his two losses.

He just pressed forward and threw caution to the wind, and paid for it.

Kudos to Justin. I actually believe he has an answer for Khabib, as K has a tendency to walk right through everyone's strikes in order to get his hands on them.

What was cool about the lack of crowd, was that you could hear every punch land.

Beating Tony Ferguson is no joke, he hadn't lost since 2012. Justin looked amazing but honestly, I thought Tony looked old last night.

Leg kicks to start, were a good ploy. Tony has always had a bad habit of keeping his hands low, and taking shots. Gaethje's punches were landing hard, and even though Ferguson ate them for almost 5 rounds, he seemed a bit slower than Justin.

That card was stacked. It should have been even better, with Souza testing positive for Corona and having to bow out against Uriah Hall.

Justin can beat the eagle but I think Conor will beat Justin

UFC 249 was stacked but most of their cards are pretty lousy and their fighters are grossly under paid
