My ancestors were people who loved their homes and their families and fought to keep what they believed was rightly theirs. People were Tennesseans, Ohioans, North Carolinian's, Georgians, first and citizens of the United States secondly. They saw the Federal Union troops moving into their states as invaders, to be repulsed at all cost. Do you honestly believe the Union troops were concerned with freeing the slaves first and foremost? You are very stupid if you do.

My inlaws are also descendants of the Confederacy and my sister-in-law was a big supporter of Obama until he trashed her family legacy. I don't think she hates him now or anything, but it was a huge blow to her. I think she finally saw (and it took a while) that he was a divider and not a uniter.

Trump was able to take advantage of the bad blood Obama created. I didn't vote for Trump last time, but I will this time. The so-called "shaming" of the South has backfired on the Democrats, and it's too bad, because a good number of them, like my sister-in-law, who are strong-union people, have always voted democratic...until now. Now, they're wavering, and they'll stay home from the polls rather than vote for a Democrat who participates in the shame game.

The Democrats have crafted a following of wannabe victims, and some even post here on this forum. Look at Biden's latest ignorant comment that a person can't be black if they don't know to vote for him. What a loser!

The Confederacy has a deep, rich history, and no one can take that away. One of my husband's Confederate female ancestors kept a diary and some of her stories should really be published, they're so good. They describe how she cared for her children, fed them, and protected them while her husband was drafted to fight. Such a talented young woman who recorded an unbelievably challenging time in our nation's history. Her stories are treasures. To have someone try to make us believe she was less because she was a part of the Confederacy is lunacy. She had more talent in her little finger than most of today's whiners have in their entire bodies.

I am in awe of what she did.

This is STUPID and exactly why people like Trump win elections. I don't think the statues should have been removed and I don't think this should be done.

When those on the left get upset about the racists like trump trying to wipe out the obama legacy they need not look far to see how they themselves have done the same thing.

Trump is racist? Have you any evidence of that?

    Undoing Obama's legacy isn't racist.

Trump is a racist. The only people that would argue against what is plain to see are other racists.

Ah, so you have no evidence and to cover that up you call me a racist.

    You most certainly did.

You called Trump a racist. I argued against that. And you said "The only people that would argue against what is plain to see are other racists."
