I have a question;

Who is paying/doing the clean up at the Pegasus pipeline spill now ??

Looks like we are via the govt. From what ive read its not illegal what Exxon is doing they are covered by a 30 yr old law.

Due to a thirty-year-old law, Exxon will not be paying into the federal fund that will pay for the cleanup of 12,000 barrels of crude oil that leaked from its Pegasus Pipeline in Arkansas. That fund is BS whether or not it's payed into.

Exon, BP or whoever is going to do everything possible to clean up and compensate those affected

to allay law suites which would cost way more than the clean up and compensation.

In this particular circumstance, I don't see a 'loophole' -- a loophole suggests that something is happening despite the overall spirit of the law. Not the case here, its an express exclusion. Its an affirmative legislative decision to do one thing, but not another.
