Hell, every time I finally learn my way around the store the manager decides he wants to rearrange it.

I use an app called Inkpad for grocery lists and other notes. I can access it on my desktop via the Internet, save it, and then sync it to my phone (I hate typing on the phone). I list things in order that they are in the store.

I used to put things I need on my phone. A few months ago I was in Bartlett TN and I lost my phone in a store. I was able to retrace and I had left it in a dressing room. Its amazing it was still there. Ever since then I put it in my sock when I go in a store and leave it there. I have been doing it the old fashioned way on paper. I just realized I forgot Benedryl too. Im going to subgroup my list based on departments as well. I didn't even think of going to part of the store where that is. I could split into meds , personal care then electronics and then food. I need to tighten up a bit. I do most things on the fly. I need to structure things better.

There were some Burritos I tried out last week. I was looking for them today because I really liked them. I looked for them but got distracted and forgot them too. Ill say this though. I remembered to get more of my favorite ketchup "Whataburger" ketchup and frozen fries. I love fries.

    "Country Bobs All purpose Sauce"
This stuff is wonderful. It doesnt have the hard twang like most steak sauce does but its not overly sweet either.

That's how my wife makes her grocery lists. I use a check list app, and basically just dictate into my phone whenever I think of something that I need. The app allows you to check stuff off as you go. you can arrange the list however you want, so it probably would work for your idea as well. When you run out of something you could go to your list and uncheck it. The app is called ColorNote.

Cool. Thanks. One thing is eating at home I am starting tp figure out how much of X Y and Z I need. I learned a pound of baby swiss outlasts a pound of sliced ham. Ive learned if I am going to eat a bagel or two every day I need X amount of cream cheese. What has surprised me is how quickly I now use up simple stuff. For example, I have used almost an entire grinder of black pepper in a month. Its harder to stay on top of it than I realized. But to me, thats half the fun. I also have noticed when I think its time to eat I am a right now person. I go to the fridge and figure out whats quickest and thats generally what I go for. Theres a rhythm to it , I see.

Quick is the name of the game for me too, I like easy recipes.

That's funny you mentioned the black pepper. Since we've been cooking so much, I was also amazed at how quickly the grinder was emptying out. I love my fresh ground pepper.

Write it on paper, then take a picture of it, so when you forget it at home (I do) you have it with you.

I use the notepad app on my phone, then delete things as I get them. That way if I can't get something on my list, I save it for next time and rebuild the list next week with current needs.
