The betrayal of Navy SEAL Team 6

The betrayal of Navy SEAL Team 6

On August 6, 2011 the US Navy Seals and Seal Team 6 took their largest loss in combat ever. And they blame Joe Biden.

A year ago, before they were killed, members of U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6 had attained international prominence for one particular reason: They were responsible for the Operation Neptune Spear which resulted with the death of world’s most wanted terrorist, Al-Qaida founder, Osama bin Laden. Since then, there are claims that American heroes were betrayed by their own government. According to online reports, only a few days after the bin Laden operation, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — in a pathetic attempt to spike the football and gloat — publicly revealed their central role in the raid.

For ordinary people, that was seen as praise for what they did, but for professionals, it meant that his revelations put a giant target on the backs of every Navy SEAL Team 6 member. A top secret unit for cover operations, whose mission is to operate in the murky shadows, was exposed as the group that eliminated al Qaeda’s chief mastermind. Mr. Biden’s reckless actions — followed by President Obama’s own words acknowledging the secret unit’s operation — jeopardized their safety. All kind of scum bags bent on revenge and began an intense manhunt. It’s the situation when situation changes and the hunters became hunted.

Upon hearing of Biden’s disclosure, Navy SEAL members were shocked. Many of them immediately contacted family members, warning them to eradicate all personal information from social-media sites. Aaron Vaughn, one of the SEALs eventually killed in the ambush, told his mother, Karen Vaughn, to delete every reference to SEAL Team 6 from her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

“I never heard Aaron this concerned and worried in his entire life,” Mrs. Vaughn said in an interview. “He called me and said, ‘Mom, you and Dad have to take everything down. Biden has just put a huge target on everybody.’”

Tragically, it looks like Aaron Vaughn was right. He probably was aware that this could become a serious security threat to team members. The cheap political points were taken on their occasion, and a highly sensitive covert operation was compromised and at the end, it cost dozens on U.S. lives.
To be far, the Trump administration should never have said which unit bagged al Baghdadi.

Yeah a helicopter full of them got shot down shortly after Biden made it public.

The SEALs have always been publicity hounds... writing books, appearing on talk shows. The NAVY should have put a gag on them decades ago.

Obama is an idiot and he had an idiot as his Vice President. However, I have little doubt that if he hadn't run his mouth about the operation, someone in the Navy would have. If it didn't come from someone on the team, it would have come from some Public Affairs Officer.

Sadly this is true. I dont blame anyone for trying to make a living off their expertise AFTER they get out but more then a couple have really hit the camera's to cash in on all their awesomeness. The shooting, self defense, sporting world is a huge market and these top guys are generally worshipped. It OK when its Low key but some have really become high profile glory Hounds.

I wont name him because he is tragically deceased but one guy had a movie made about him and he went around telling the most ridiculous stories that were just utter horse manure. He got tangled up in some fistfight story with an ex wrestler that never happened. He had another one about Katrina where he climbed the Super Dome and started whacking BGs left and right with his sniper rifle. He blew up a few BGs in a Texas gas station and just waved at the cops who just let him leave. He also Lied about the medals he received.

So I dont believe anything in the movie and believe kill counts about as much as I did during 'nam or about as much as I believe Police statistics.

The sad part being the actual truth is good enough. This particular guy was a hero on his own merits so why go "Hollywood"? These guys are outstanding soldiers on their own without self aggrandizement . Look at Carlos Hath$#@!, he's a guy you had to keep reminding he was a hero because he kept forgetting and never wanted any publicity in the first place. He once pulled a bunch of guys out of a burning vehicle, suffering severe burns, and he just walked to an aid station and never told anyone about it. It wasn't until 30 years later when a buddy learned he was never recognized for it that someone eventually got the USMC to give him a Silver Star for it. He saved 7 Marines and he should have gotten a MOH for it.

As for Obama, yes he was an idiot but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Unlike Biden who advised him not to "go" that night, tho now he's all "blub, blub, blub, blub" about it. https://www.factcheck.org/2020/01/bi...in-laden-raid/
