    Trump wins the lockdown wars......

President Trump has won the lockdown wars as coronavirus-related restrictions on businesses are eased across the country, so far with few signs of dire health consequences for the population.

Just weeks ago, the question was whether to reopen, with the first states to press ahead accused of engaging in human sacrifice and killing their residents to appease the “Trump death cult.” New York Times columnist Paul Krugman asked, “How many will die for the Dow?” as recently as Thursday.

Now, the debate is primarily over how quickly and to what extent reopening should take place, with the stragglers mainly blue states. Anthony Fauci, considered by many the public face of stay-at-home policies, now says the country can't stay locked down forever. When Trump’s Easter target date was deemed unrealistic, Memorial Day weekend was floated as another possibility — and the grand opening is beginning.

Democrats forgot that polls were a snapshot of a specific moment. They went all-in on endless lockdowns because they believed it would be a political winner,” said conservative strategist Chris Barron. “Early on, when Americans were crippled with fear, Democrats looked smart."

“Now, every single opinion poll shows the momentum turning against them,” he continued. “President Trump smartly listened to the medical experts but balanced that with an understanding of the economic realities for working Americans. Come November, if Democrats allow this to be a referendum on endless lockdowns, Trump will win in a landslide.”....snip~

Imagine that another win for Trump. That will cause the left some more conniption. Lets help them to connipt more.

The left has started the violence already. Burning a church that opened in Mississippi. Drive by shooting in S. Carolina for people who held a massive block party. There have been other attacks on people for not following Demo orders and having large assemblies too. Although the Lame Stream media isn't saying much on such incidents.

The left has been against coming off of lockdowns. The attacks should be recognized regardless if the perps are saying its not political.

Now, Norway's Health Chief Just Torpedoed the Case for COVID Lockdowns

Was the coronavirus real? Yes. Did some overreact to it? It appears so. I was one of them, but the past ten days have been a deluge of news pretty much undercutting the need for panic. First, most of the country was not hit that hard. New Jersey, New York, parts of New England, and some areas of the West Coast were heavy hit. The rest of the country was not nearly as badly ravaged. New York City is the mecca for the US-based outbreak, but most of the deaths appear to be concentrated in an area we all know would be a problem: nursing homes. And New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo forced these facilities to admit COVID-positive patients. Of course, it spread like a brushfire in there.

I supported the lockdowns to curb the spread and prevent the hospitals from being overrun. Fine—but the goalposts were moved by liberals. Also, we’ve flattened the curve, the hospitals are stable, and it’s time to re-open. Yet, in Norway, their health chief now says that maybe a lockdown wasn’t necessary at all—that the rate of infection was not accurately gauged. In all, she declared that Norway could have handled the infection without a quarantine. The Local Norway, the nation’s English-speaking news outlet, reported on this:

Well, that’s a gut punch, huh? Also, the “R naught” number which tracks how contagiousness of a virus was whittled down to 1.1. It was reported as closer to three, making it far greater more infectious than the seasonal flu.

The damage has been done. Millions were thrown into the unemployment line, small businesses have been smashed, and it looks increasingly clear, with every passing day, that some of us went overboard here. Yet, I do have immense confidence that Trump will be re-elected, and once re-openings occur—the economic boom will be rapid in the months leading up to and after the election.....snip~

Yes, the republican strategy for reducing medicaid and other social programs. Let those in needs die.

It's actually pretty smart on the surface but I think it may backfire when it's revealed what populations use the social programs most.

If nothing else it will be an interesting experiment on population control.

You had to stay up all night to think that one up, didn't you? Wow.

Why are people on the left so stupid? We could have "locked down" the old and at risk without shutting the economy down. And that way we would develop herd immunity.
