No, it's not really time for lead and flame throwers, although it may be time for fire hoses and tear gas.
Two issues have caused the rioting -- the media trying to make blacks think they're targeted by law enforcement, which we've already shown isn't true on a widespread basis, and the virus shutdowns. Between the two, our nation is a tinderbox.
We need to call for truth in editorializing. Facebook now erases messages they feel are fake news, and perhaps we need to hold MSM accountable as well. For years, they've sensationalized the deaths of black suspects at the hands of law enforcement, and while each case is certainly worth examining on a local basis, the media is holding up those cases as being indicative of a trend and they're not.
I remember barely a week after the officer shot Michael Brown -- a black officer in Utah shot a white unarmed suspect. Did you know that? Probably not, and that's okay, because it should no more have been national news as the Brown story was.
What will be the result of the riots?
It will hurt the black community. Why? Because media outlets like CNN are doing their best to show the nation that blacks are inherently violent. Never mind that whites are out there destroying property as well -- MSM is showing us LOTS of footage of "angry black men." That will result in a psychological blowback whereby fewer employers hire blacks, fewer whites will go out of their way to make friends with blacks. More whites will avoid black neighborhoods and black people in general. All of this is brought to us, complements of a liberal media that's pretending to sympathize with the black situation. The media is CREATING the situation, rather than just reporting on it.
But how do we keep CNN from hyping a false narrative? I don't know. I think we need to make a concerted effort to turn the narrative around to reality. Of course CNN is vested in just the opposite.
But no, it's not time for lead and flame throwers. It's time to hold the media accountable for making blacks think law enforcement is killing them.

Why did the National Guard shoot those tracers? What were they doing there, and could those who got hit with tracers have done anything differently to keep from being hit?
Was there an "in your house" curfew being enforced? Was somebody purposefully disobeying the curfew order? Were the guardsmen telling them to get in their home? Was someone more interested in hoping their video went viral than in obeying the curfew?
Why are we not discussing the motives of the individuals who were violating an in-house curfew order? Why are we discussing only the repercussions of their violation?

The national guard didn’t shoot the tracers(which I don’t think they were tracers but paint) the police did. What were they doing there? I’m guessing minding their business on their private property. Could they have anything differently to kee from being hit? Absolutely. They could have submitted to the tyranny of the government and become docile sheep as they are led to their slaughter.
No idea, have to ask them. Probably. Probably. Probably.
Either we are all free people with a constitution to protect us, or we are two sides to a mindset that only thinks conservatives that disobey the “law” are correct when they go and protest about not being able to get a hair cut. I remember just a very, very short while ago people were arguing about how “unconstitutional” the governor’s orders were to stay at home, and now all of a sudden it is not only “constitutional” to force someone to stay home and to “light them up”, but the argument is now about why they weren’t listening.
I mean, y’all need to land your plane. I knew it wouldn’t be long before the chickens would come home to roost.
So the “motives” are important now? We are only discussing the repercussions because that is all tPF conservatives wanted to discuss since I’ve been here from 2014. Why the change now?
