No they didn't. But you keep missing the point. They had him in handcuffs. He was subdued, detained and handcuffed. Why on Earth would anyone think that pinning a man's neck down with one's knee and all his weight while that same man continually said he couldn't breathe all the while he was handcuffed be acceptable? There was no need for it. This cop wanted to take his frustrations out on Floyd because perhaps Floyd didn't comply to his all powerful authority. He ignored Floyd's pleas that he couldn't breathe and it most likely resulted in him committing murder.

Who are you? Do you know me? I have a big issue with members of the government, at all levels, committing crimes and getting away with them. I do give a crap about this issue, just as I care about the victims of the violent rioters. This man and his family deserve justice, and the scum who did this don't deserve to walk the streets as free men. I don't care about partisan politics, I care about justice.

Police don't have a right to use lethal force against someone subdued and handcuffed. End of. You have such a problem with Floyd because he's a criminal, yet you're defending a bunch of murderers who committed a crime far worse than any crime Floyd ever did.

I agree with you, @TheInternet. We don't have all the details, only the parts the rabble-rousers wanted us to see.

    This forum jumped too soon.

The law won huh? Being charged with murder is winning to you? Passing counterfeit money is not a capital crime. By the way you're wrong....Floyd's crime of being murdered is going to pay his family millions. Just sayin...

Yeah, probably. But he won't admit it, so it's not worth making that a point of contention. Let's just go with what he said for arguments sake. Being a low tier criminal does not allow cops to murder. It's sad that this even has to be said.

Actually he is the one flaming racist here that probably won't have a problem admitting it. But you're right at the end of the day. Passing counterfeit money is not a capital offense. The fact that he believes "the law won" in this case while the entire country is in flames is extremely telling.

The bolded part invalidates your statement unless you can prove the amount of force that was used. From viewing a video, it cannot be determined.

It's certainly possible the officer had his knee gently resting there, incase he became agitated or aggressive. Controlling the head/neck of a human essentially gives you control of the body. Where the head goes, the body goes.

I agree they don't have a right to use lethal force against someone subdued and cuffed. The question isn't whether they have a right to do that. The question is whether that actually happened. A video of a knee on a neck seems to have convinced you that they did that, despite having no way of determining the amount of pressure on the neck, and despite the ME saying suffocation wasn't the cause of death.

Thanks. I think you're exactly correct; we don't have all the information. The forum, and the world, jumped too soon. I'll admit that I jumped too soon until I really started digging in last night.

You mean other than the dead body? Please tell me what law enforcement entities train their officers to place their knees on the necks of handcuffed individuals.
