I got thrown out of Reddit Democrat Socialists group for re-educating them. It took them all of about 1 day of hearing facts to make them blow a circuit. They did thank me for being honest on my political stand but banned me. It was all so fast that I forget that I even signed up. I couldn't help myself when I read some of the crap they posted on Reddit and all the fake information.

No one of these vermin have a dog in this whatsoever. They've created their own monster, and there is absolutely nothing honorable about what they've done. $#@! them. Let it devour them.
To all this vermin: Go home and STFU. If Trump sends in the military, so be it.
I'm with the cops totally.

I think police misconduct is prosecuted more than some realize. Sure, it could be better. Some do get a pass.
We hear the same thing with lawyers and Bar disciplinary boards: lawyers never get in trouble. They rarely get in trouble. Well if you research the issue that claim is quickly pegged as bull $#@!.
I suspect the same is true for police brutality's going unpunished.

I have to laugh at the mention of "proportion", "does it really count that much", and "context". They are all terms that have never been used to categorize any criminal activity at tPF...ever.
But we are talking about the police, which has a very rich history as to how they became to exist in America. Which is why I am not surprised to see those that will defend any and every action they undertake.
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”
- Jefferson Davis
No officer wants to be out there, because they're all targets. Any "protestors" out there understand there's a high risk of a protest becoming violent, so it they're in the middle of it when violence breaks out, they can expect officers to respond accordingly.
Yes, some officers do the wrong thing. But when it comes to trying to maintain peace during riots, they're going to use more force than if they're ticketing grandma for speeding on a calm Sunday afternoon. The situation sets the stage for what comes next.
At this point, "protesters" know they should not be out there -- if they are out there -- they're looking for trouble, yet they'll howl like mad when they find it.
Be smart. Stay home.

Enough to think it's a pandemic, or should I say, endemic.
Seems to me there are incidents, so deal with the incidents.
Yesterday the LA PD Chief was talking about how things have improved since Watts, how blacks and Hispanics have come up in the ranks, how they've worked with the justice system and the community to investigate and prosecute cases of police brutality and misconduct, and, sure, they need to improve, but they're trying.
I suggest listening to them rather than some tenuous list of a couple dozen possible incidents.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
