    If you take much more than trig and don't use it then you are going to forget it anyways. That leaves a handful of people and the teachers that teach it to the next group that will never use it. Most of the electives were a huge waste of time. No wonder Europeans only have three years for what we call undergraduate degrees. I think at least a year was wasted. The second degree was a breeze because I stayed at the same college and already had most of the requirements. Plus, when I saw old men dying behind drafting boards, designing the bolt that held on the right front fender of the car, then the fascination was gone with mechanical engineering.
