Anti-obesity pill on the horizon? Drug that makes the body burn through more calories

This would be beneficial if it works on humans the way that it does on fat.
    • Researchers say a protein called BAM15 prevents weight gain and fat build-up
    • BAM15 makes 'power plants' of the cell less efficient so they burn more energy
    • It could be administered as an injection or a pill for obese and overweight people
    • Current obesity treatments are few and far between and aren't really effective

While I'm sure there was humor intended in that, it brings forward the point that those who seek 'miracle cures' for weight problems, without following through with habit and diet changes, will never succeed in their goal.

I've always had to fight to maintain or gain weight. It too requires changes to habit and diet. I'll call myself mid to mid-high on success, still short of my best goal.

Are people really that lazy? My God. It isn't hard to not be morbidly obese. I understand being 20-30lbs overweight, hell I've been there at times myself, but you have to try really hard to be morbidly obese. Just eat a little less, make better choices, move a little more. It's that simple. Getting lean can be hard, not being fat as $#@! is not hard.

Pizza isn't really that bad. I have a pretty low body percentage and I eat about a pie a month.

The loose skin alone would be enough to scare me into making better choices.

It's kind of cool. I see a lot more people out walking or riding their bikes. More runners too.
