Government at every level - and the higher you look, the truer it gets - is, and has been almost from the beginning of this country, entwined in a lover's embrace with the moneyed interests. "Foreign policy" and "National security" too often equate to nothing more nor less than "What makes me and my friends even richer?" How is anyone surprised? Even if every detail of every "conspiracy theory" isn't true, the general narrative most assuredly is.

In my opinion , the only way America can fix it's internal problems , is when it rejoins the global community , so we can all try to fix things together.....it's about the health of our societies , not our economies .

The OP seems to be confused. Neocons were responsible for US foreign policies since 9-11 until Trump, although Obama tried but failed to marginalize them. And necons were not out to seize foreign resources, but to ensure the markets for resources stayed open. What they were out to do was to spread democracy by the sword.

I think the world in general no longer shares your penchant for using ex-Presidents as somewhere to park the blame (the boy who cried wolf) . The deep state changes presidents like a pair of underpants - but their agenda never changes.
