    Alternatives for the National Anthem?

A new black national anthem has metastasized into the NFL. I hope that it hastens dissolution of the fan base and abolishing the league ASAP, and I welcome it. But that's just me.

However, I have never liked the Star Spangled Banner, myself, and have always felt it inappropriate for singing by the majority of Americans. It is very difficult to sing, and the words are difficult to remember. Seems it is most memorable for the singers who have flubbed it.

Here are two beautiful and familiar alternatives. If the Star Spangled Banner was replaced by either one, I would have no issue with it:

    My Country Tis of Thee

    America the Beautiful:

And below, a beautiful National Anthem I greatly admire, here played at a 2006 Olympics skiing medals ceremony:

Have a great Fourth of July!

Perhaps not My Country Tis of Thee, since it's exactly the same tune as God Save the Queen. People wouldn't know if it was the US or UK national anthem being played.

That's an extremely racist suggestion to pose.

I guess at this point I'm sick of the whole business that's going on I prefer to be a bystander.

The way I look at is that we built this country through many atrocities starting with the American Indian but we've created a society that its hard to succeed in on your own and
the proverbial pot is boiling over.

What is there to be done whilst boiling over? Not much in my opinion. Stand back and let it happen.

As a person who dealt with Reverse Discrimination which is really just "Discrimination" I got a good taste of it. Now I'm retired and I prefer to stay to myself.

We've no real "American Culture" and someone needs to define what that is and everyone to get behind that and stop whining.

When you don't like your lot then change it. Change might be hard but you'll change it quicker yourself rather than waiting on someone to do it for you.

The bolded: that only applies to the lazy and those who expect things handed to them. I don't have an issue with that.

    Too many people going underground
Too many reaching for a piece of cake
Too many people pulled and pushed around
Too many waiting for that lucky break
    That was your first mistake
Too many people never sleeping late
Too many people paying parking fines
Too many hungry people losing weight
    Too many people preaching practices
Don't let them tell you what you wanna be
    Too many people holding back
Its crazy its lazy its not like me

I can agree with that. Seems like the carrot is a bit far off for many. Could be we are seeing people not want to work 2 jobs to make ends meet.

No doubt there are a lot of folks who don't apply themselves.

I have a question: I know where blogs are but how do you write one? I don't see a place for that.
