Being a vet does not protect you from criticism.
No, but calling a decorated war hero a coward, when the evidence is that she learned to pilot helicopters exactly to be able to be in combat, when other women in the military are spared of participating in combat missions, is misguided and wrong criticism. He can dispute her political opinions and criticize her for them as much as he wants, but calling her a coward is another matter. I'm prepared to bet that she is some 100 times more courageous than Carlson.

When further discussion would be useless, it is a very polite way of ending a conversation instead of ending with an insult directed at your opponent. You always attract more flies with honey as opposed to vinegar. No need to be nasty because you disagree on a posting.
