    Everyone should have some skin in the game. If they can afford a smartphone, manicured nails, and tattoos, they can afford to pitch in a dollar for taxes.

    The number often used was 22% as a flat tax with no write offs. That includes all payroll taxes in that number.
    We could also allow a minimum wage adjustment to compensate the new minimum wage taxpayers.

    I actually prefer a national sales tax but it would need to be phased in over time and it could also replace all corporate taxes. We could shrink the IRS to 10% of its size. Politicians would no longer be able to manipulate the tax structure, for votes and lobbyist payoffs.
