Such prominent Hispanics as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Julian Castro, chef Jose Andres and CNN commentator Ana Navaro were quickly calling for boycotts of the multi-food label that specializes in Latin American cuisine and staples.


Robert Unanue, chief executive of the family-run company, attended a White House roundtable with Hispanic business and political leaders Thursday afternoon.


“We’re all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder,” Mr. Unanue said in a Rose Garden speech afterward.

It's not "cancel culture" to simply choose not to buy stuff from a company whose CEO says such stupid and offensive shlt. I don't buy a lot of Goya products, but I'm certainly not going to give them another penny.

I don't remember ever buying Goya brand foods, but I used their store locator and now I plan donating a lot of what I now have in my pantry to the Food Bank and then restocking it with Goya products. I admire those who do not fold in the face of persecution.

Unanue called the pushback against him visiting the White House “suppression of speech.” Unanue said that he was previously invited to the White House for an event hosted by the Obama administration for Hispanic Heritage Month.
“So, you’re allowed to talk good or to praise one president, but you’re not allowed to aid in economic and educational prosperity? And you make a positive comment and all of a sudden, it is not acceptable,” Unanue said.
Unanue said he is not apologizing for his remarks supporting Trump's economic policy and would not turn down other future invitations.

“I didn’t say that to the Obamas and I didn’t say that to President Trump.”

Does anyone else find it odd that the one person who has done more for the Hispanic community in 3 years than the last at least 8 administrations have in total is so widely hated by the Hispanic leadership. More opportunities, more jobs, less poverty and anyone saying anything good should be destroyed?
