Persepolis is an animated film about the history of Iran. It's based on Marjan Satrapi's autobiographical graphic novel with a same name. it's story takes place in Iran during 1978 - mid 1990s. some of Satrapi's friends and family members were tortured and killed during Pahlavi or Islamist regimes.
I think it's a very good film and recommend it.
