Post Covid-19 Continuing to hit law firms

As we trudge along, the Covid-19 pandemic continues to hurt the legal field. One firm even laid off lawyers and staffers after receiving a PPP loan.

There will be class action suits coming. Against many of these overreaching entities. Oh yes its coming.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

So will law firms be suing themselves over not taking proper precautions during the outbreak?

If McConnell needs to get the legal protection for employers written into the relief bill. Otherwise it will not be a good time to not be a partner or any form of business owner.

Employers who took payroll protection money and then lays employees off are likely in legal trouble.

Does the law state the PPP money must go to keeping ALL employees employed or can you lay off some if you keep others?

As I read it its based on your 2019 employment records. You must keep the same number employed as you had in 2019. But what if you had 10 employees in 2019 but were growing in Jan and Feb and hired two more. Could you not let them go since they were not part of your 2019 numbers?
Plus if you don't hire all of your employees back it doesn't mean you have done anything illegal, just that you will need to repay the PPP "loan"

It am sure there are a lot of details. Hopefully employers that took the loans followed those details.

Karma. They nickel and dime people to death and now many are getting their just deserts. The average American earns about 27 dollars per hour and they change hundreds per hour. Pure exploitation. They thrive off of the state making up BS laws, so I guess during Covid with less things are going to court, they're $#@!ed. We need far less laws and far less lawyers in this country anyway.
