Jambalaya

I just made a decent Jambalaya. If course it was from a premix so all I did was add shrimp and sausage but it was great. Took a little patience but was worth it

Not sure how many servings that was supposed to be but I gobbled up every bit of it. I hope I dont end up like a bird that eats rice at a wedding.

It can. But we call them crawfish.

Most Louisiana dishes use the protein and veggie portions with what they have on hand. So jambalaya can have shrimp, andouille sausage, or crawfish.

I learned how to make Gumbo and Jambalaya in a class in New Orleans. I have made them both before but after the class they were both much better.

And gumbo. If there is no okra in gumbo then it is a stew.
