Right. And it is a great tool for cops to use in the defund / abolish the cops nonsense. Get enough cops on 100% disability and bleed these liberal meccas dry.

Chicago Democrats are going after city worker pensions too. Anything to get out of their agreed contracts(Promises). Except with School Unions and CPS.

I don't have a citation but I remember reading that most police officers in Democrat cities retired with disabilities because of significant tax breaks.

We had a police officer get a medical retirement because he was depressed because he'd never been promoted. At the pension board hearing I argued against awarding him a pension based on that disability. He got his pension. He came over and said, "I won." "If you consider spending every day for the rest of your life with your wife as winning you are crazy."

Bogus disabilities is a problem for society. I wonder what percentage of the SSI recipients have permanent emotional disabilities? I was given the names of two psychologists in Hilo, Hawaii, who would sell you one.

That sort of thing is fraud on government programs that I have mentioned elsewhere. If the government fought back against this sort of thing it could be controlled at least to an extent. In your example of the HI shrinks- if the government was fighting a disability claim where one of these docs was the source of the diagnosis that could be evidence to deny the claim.

I think the Democrats design programs for fraud. I was the victim of someone using my Social Security number, but not my name, to get a bogus income tax refund. I asked my accountant why since Social Security and Income Tax are both government programs they couldn't match to insure the name and number match. "I guess they don't care." I don't think they do care.

How hard would it be for the government to see that almost all SSI claims bases on emotional disabilities were coming from just two psychologists? How hard would it be to run a sting operation on the psychologists? I don't think they care.

A big part of the problem is that government programs tend to be judged based on how many people use them. So the managers have no incentive to lower that number.

Or, how many Democrats they "help" whether they qualify or not.
