PJL, you're unaware of NATO Membership 2020. And how many ex-USSR satellite nations reside. I listed them for you. The list also includes Spain, Portugal, Greece, Canada, France, Netherlands, or Denmark all of which believe NATO isn't outdated. NATO also still relevant as it recognizes nations and potential Members such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, or Ukraine.

Right here for everyone to see. Now.....I am honestly trying to help. If you'd just done a little homework. If you would have merely looked at current NATO Membership and who they're encouraging to join.....it isn't outdated. It's not outdated for Eastern Euro nations. It's not outdated for Baltic States Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. It's just not. Perhaps some day it will be outdated, our Membership and perhaps that of Britain's is outdated, I might agree with you there. But there are nearly 30 nations in NATO at the current moment and you seem to be unaware of who they even are or what their geographic or geopolitical realities are. You end up winging it.

I am reading a good book about the OSS in WWII. Some of the field grade officers from the Navy and Army who joined the OSS and ended up "training" Partisans (Yugoslavia, Italy, France, etc) found that the locals didn't really need much training, because they fought well the way they fought, they didn't lead leadership because they were far from military organizations and would do what they would do, and there wasn't much the OSS guys could tell them that they didn't know- at least relevant stuff. What they did want was the material and goods the OSS could supply them with. Some of the officers said it was their biggest shock of switching too the OSS.
