You are correct, Mnuchin and Meadows introduced a stand alone measure to extend the 600 for 4 months and the D's turned it down.

One of the best things I ever did was get the hell out of NY, and the tri-state area all together. Working on getting the last of my family out of there also.

Stupid is as stupid does: hey @ the cancel evictions people, why should landlords carry your butts at a loss to them? Their asset, not yours. How many months did you receive the $600 p/week extra, and STILL not pay your rent?

I am not for Govt giveaways but they need to extend the moratorium on evictions until this covid is contained enough for business to open and people to go back to work.

If they allow all these americans to be evicted two things are certain to happen...most will become homeless and crime WILL SOAR uncontrollably...

Many of those Apts will remain empty bringing in no rent because there wont be that many able to rent them and PAY

You are for government give-aways. People have had a moratorium on rent and I suspect, although I don't predict certainties like some, that landlords will cut people some slack if they make some effort. If they sit on their ass and wait for the government to save them they're fools.
