    Overdue and back taxes.

Possible reason for democrats' support of irrational, sometimes tyrannical policies?

Extortion for back taxes due at the local level. For example, you might have a city council that wants to override the Constitution and confiscate guns because that's democrat power and he feels the power. That's the actual situation here. Roger Jones has guns but he's in arrears on his local taxes. City council will let Roger Jones slide on his taxes if he gives up his guns.

Speculating on democrat corruption and outlawry.

Am I outside the realm of possible explanations for democrat sociopathy?

This deserves its own thread. It is about an activist mayor -- Pittsburgh's Peduto -- who is making himself appear Santa Claus to certain unspecified people.

Pittsburgh [has] joined 15 other cities to take part in a new pilot program for “guaranteed income.”
“A number of people in the city of Pittsburgh will be chosen to be able to receive a monthly stipend, basically a debit card,” said Mayor Peduto. He said the “guaranteed income” means an extra $500 a month. The city will jump-start the program using a portion of the $10 million from Jack Dorsey at Twitter.
Mayor Peduto said he is looking for three qualities in the people selected:
People who are struggling financially [that would be everyone]
The ability to have it change their lives [that would be everyone]
People from different types of demographics and backgrounds to be able to do a study [who would that be?]

Peduto said the study will look to answer multiple questions, such as, “Does their health improve? Do their children do better in school? Is there a less likely chance that they end up back in jail?”

He’ll join Mayor Melvin Carter from St. Paul, Minnesota, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms from Atlanta, Georgia, and Mayor Michael Tubbs from Stockton, California.
The program launched in Stockton 18 months ago. Mayor Peduto said the people are “not spending the money on alcohol and cigarettes” but rather basic necessities.

“The money being spent in the way that we spend money. It’s on rent, it’s on healthcare, it’s on food, it’s on the basic necessities, but it has changed people’s lives,” said Mayor Peduto. [The oldest welfare scheme in the country is not even remotely novel, but this one is definitely for votes.]

Peduto aims to "close the income gap".

Peduto has been asking Uncle Sam for money since the "pandemic". Is mayor Santa fallen out of his sleigh, or what?

So, we lower the standard of living from those who work to provide those who won't.....
a real socialist dream come true...
    But wait..............there's more.
Once they run out of other people's money, it will fail and pull everyone down with the sinking ship..........ahhhhhhhhhhh such is the liberal dream.
They actually believe that taking our money to give to those who don't have what I've got, is going to make who better? It lessens me and promotes those who will not work for a living.....
The only ones getting ahead, are the ones stealing. And let's not forget the middleman (gov)...they have their finger in that pie as well without being put in financial risk

Everything but -- heaven forbid -- cutting local taxes. (They keep Santa jolly.) Just as long as it's not from the city, it's good. No tax cuts here, and Peduto still wants your guns.

He does not give a $#@! about the Constitution.
