I've been a lifelong conservative. Dropped out of the GOP some years ago.

I'm a life long repub who really lean libertarian. In 2008 I finally had a gut full of libz
sqauking parrot, racism, xeno bs etc., fair share. My vote from then was not a display of
Anything. I vote for one reason only, to combat dems.

I take it your parents were republicans? My mother was. My dad was raised by democrats I believe but i can't be sure because i never asked my grandfather about politics other than asking him one time to vote for the then republican candidate.

I wish my mother had been more vocal in her politics with me and my brothers. My youngest brother and I are conservatives. My older brother is conservative he just doesn't know it. His college educated daughter and her liberal husband are democrats and they influence him.

to me, the Dem's left the working class, with only "talk" and more anti business...meaning a working person needs some place to work/employer. Take a look at Oregon...long Dem controlled. They have a tax on business...in addition to all others...to tax 100% of the sales/income. Oregon has a Governor that proposed putting a meter on wells, drilled and paid for on their own property by a property owner, and pay a tax on the amount of water used.

Today, Biden openly says he will shut down the jobs of all people involved with fossil fuels. Think about that...as it would go from those who produce the fuel to the business/people who sell it. What is used to make synthetic material, fertilizer, factories that make furnaces etc. All those have "workers" that the Dems want to take jobs away from.

I was a Democrat until Bill Clinton. I didn't always vote for the Democrat running for President but usually did otherwise.
