The Americans full well understand the Sunni-Shia rifts and it was those deep differences Iraqi extremists took during the Iraq War. Fully understanding Shia militias in Iraq for example, fully understating Sunni Tribal factions in western Iraq. ME strategy obvious to see and always being re-thought. We support both Sunni and Shia depending on the circumstances, but we full understand those differences.

We are supporting a group in Afghanistan that is not willing to fight. They are willing to let us fight for them.
They still see themselves as the Pashtun tribe, not the country outlined by the west.
Until we have a group, that is willing to fight for control of their region then we better move in permanently or get the hell out. They did not support Support Communism and they are not going to support and fight for their Democracy. PJL's Communist China will not be welcomed their either.
Tell them that wherever we find al-Qaeda or ISIS that we are going to go in and indiscriminately bomb the area and let God sort em out.

I think all you frisky right-wing buffoons get your stories from the same place......(lol) China is Afghanistans largest trading partner , and a substantial contributor in aid , to the country .......Afghanistan is also an important link country in the BRI .
