You think that coalition forces in Afghanistan are preventing Pakistan and China from having a nuke war with India? I dont know about that.

Best read that again; Afghanistan 'turned' into an Islamic State....will severely put at risk nuclear Pakistan....is my point. Will destabilize Pakistan's nuclear tipped government. Should Pakistan fall to an Islamic State......their nuclear weapons become a great risk to historically despised India.....who is currently having border spats with China.

My main theme.....Afghanistan isn't happening in a vacuum. That's not the way these geopolitical struggles turn out. We cannot tolerate a Taliban governed Afghanistan, it simply isn't a tenable solution for the United States. Taliban political influence can be tolerated. Taliban politics cannot be snuffed out. Any Taliban government can...and should. Like.....immediately.

5000 is enough and might need to be tweaked up depending on how events play out. It's a large enough force to defend itself and counterattack. It's a large enough force to facilitate a drone base, a small enough force to evacuate in a hurry if necessary.

If their purpose was to hunt al Q and ISIL-K I don't have a problem with that. What I have a problem with is wasting our money and lives on nation building Afghanistan.

Under more stable global circumstances , I would agree.....but the global increase of weaponized economic sanctions is creating ever increasing problems.......and anything could happen.

No country is going to use nuclear weapons. A terrorist might but no nation is that insane.

The only chance someone will use nukes would be if terrorists somehow obtain broken arrows and make some van-nukes maybe. Do you think the Taliban or some terrorist organization could obtain broken arrows and attack USA with van nukes?
It wouldnt be a terrible idea for USA to carry out false flag van-nuke attacks if you think about it. Imagine what could be done in the aftermath of that. You could damn near manufacture consent for tracking chips to be implanted in the brains of newborn babies after something like that.

The world wants security from Nth K nukes , and Nth Korea wants sanctions relief . There was a summit to agree on both , but the "greatest deal maker in the universe" didn't keep his part of the bargain , and shot himself in the foot , achieving zip ........all big talk , no action.

Crap. NK wanted sanction relief before any deal on nuclear weapons. They have always gotten something and gave up nothing.
