Biden calls Trump's 'hurt God' attack 'shameful'

This seems to me to be an interesting strategy. Trump takes some of the defining characteristics of the far-left and accuses Biden of the same knowing Biden will respond. If Biden doesn't or accepts the accusations, he's been made out as far-left. Anything he denies separates him from far-left support.

Biden calls Trump's 'hurt God' attack 'shameful'

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Thursday countered President Donald Trump's baseless attack that he, a practicing Roman Catholic, would somehow "hurt God," calling the comments "shameful."

"Like so many people, my faith has been the bedrock foundation of my life: it's provided me comfort in moments of loss and tragedy, it's kept me grounded and humbled in times of triumph and joy. And in this moment of darkness for our country — of pain, of division, and of sickness for so many Americans — my faith has been a guiding light for me and a constant reminder of the fundamental dignity and humanity that God has bestowed upon all of us," Biden said.
"For President Trump to attack my faith is shameful. It's beneath the office he holds and it's beneath the dignity the American people so rightly expect and deserve from their leaders," he added...

I think you'd be surprised what "far-left voters" want. They would be happy to support a candidate who espouses genuine Christian values. The idea of having a president with genuine empathy and concern for those suffering from injustice and illness appeals to most people on the left.

Far-left is atheistic. Biden is against defunding.

That is 100% false. The hard left hates Christian values.

Wrong. You're confusing the sort of fake Christian political "values" people like Trump espouse with actual Christian values.

Invoking a deity has nothing to do with Christian values. Including the name of your god in a platform that screws over the poor and minorities is not Christian.
