Safety versus liberty

I believe in Welfare State and high taxes for the rich. I oppose drugs and tobacco. I believe Society must ensure safety of its subjects.

Do you agree people have to be stopped from doing anything unsafe?

President Obama, who hates America, thought of us as subjects to be "ruled by a phone and a pen." He stood tall and straight because Michelle had shoved his scepter up his ass.

I will never forget that just to keep us safe we were ordered, ordered, mind you, to not go to work, to not visit family or friends, to not buy gardening supplies or shoes, and if we went to the beach we couldn't get in the water. I'll never forget that while beauty shops were closed and hairdressers were forbidden to work Mayor Lightfoot got her hair done. See, there are subjects, who do as they're told, and the Lord's, who do as they please. Some chose to kill old people.

I am fearless. I know how to take care of myself. I am able to decide whether to take a risk or opt for safer action. I do not need anyone to tell me what to do.

I resent it when a store where I want to shop tells me I must wear a mask, but I am also rule-abiding and law-abiding so I comply. Just as the bakery had the right not to make a gay cake, a store has the right to require a mask for entry. If I don't want to wear a mask, I just don't shop at that store.

At this point in time, I don't feel I am the run-away ground hog if I don't throw a fit about masks.

But the trend is set. This is a test and we have shown that we comply with whatever rules are set. If our government decides that Covid is transmitted in church services and private funerals ... but Covid isn't transmitted in protests and rioting or State funerals, then, someone needs to stand up and say "WTH!?"

There is a fine line between just being safe and taking away our freedoms for nefarious purposes and in this country we are flirting with that line right now.

Women often take risks because they don't have to pay the price to play. Consider the woman who recently went up to two guys chatting without masks, screamed at them, then threw hot coffee in one of them's face. It was her boyfriend who ended up with a bloody nose when, by all justice, it should have been her.

My ex-wife was incredibly brave and abusive until the day she said, "Pat, are you going to let him talk to me that way," and I said, "Yes." She had PMS, don't you know.

One of the issues with that is can they do that? They claim they can. But with that kind of control comes other dangers. I look to states for social programing , not the feds.

This is where you go wrong, Junior. We are not "subjects" of king or country in the United States. We are free citizens.

That was my error. I guess it was a slip.

But many people who need help in USA are treated worse then subjects.

Sadly, American Taxpayers would not be willing to support everyone who needs support. The Will of the Majority is the rule.
