Correct. We can't deal with debt reduction until we get our annual deficit spending under control. You can't put the proverbial cart before the horse.

I think that with all of the spending it will likely have to be someone that will address the national debt. I am trying to think of who the Democrats can run, and the stable is a bit empty.

They have put themselves so far out to the left that the majority will not support most of them. Sure they have their cities and states. but there is a lot of Red on the map

But it will take someone very dynamic that can make the case for conservatism and they need to run to the right of Trump. Who if the Democrats were honest would admit is quite progressive.

The last time we had a balanced budget, much less smaller debt, was under a Democrat. The Republicans have long since become big spenders. The best we can hope for is balancing the budget, keep it balanced and hope no one cashes our notes in.

I feel like it is a no go on Cruz. I like him but he doesn't have that IT factor. I could get on board with Don Jr. but problem is the dynasty thing doesn't look well. The bottom line is we will never get another Trump! He is a historically great man and that is hard to follow. My thought is 2024 will bring a Democrat into office. That will be a failed Presidency and usher in a new era of Conservatism.
