    "Giver" vs. "taker" states

    https://www.democraticunderground.com/101647459

I don't understand why any Democrats make this argument. For one, voting Democrat almost always means you support more government services, not less, so why would you be complaining?

You also don't know if the supposed "takers" or "givers" in a state are Democrats or not. In a few states like Mississippi, the "takers" would largely be the Democratic voters there. If the implication is that the "givers" in the most giving states are Democrats (which I'm not even sure would be true. The quintessential Democratic voter in these states is the Starbucks barista who bicycles to work, not the small business owner), then it undermines the argument that Republicans are "the party of the rich".

I'd be more interested in seeing the rate of ROI so to speak for states. How much of what NY taxpayers pay tot he feds comes back to NY? And at what cost of administration ( that one I have never seen in print for some strange reason)

I'd want to know how much comes back to a state to pay for federally mandated policies.

I haven't change my opinion. Get the Federal Government out of the redistribution game and let the states tax more for their needs and the Federal Government to tax less.

Any complaint of who gets more goes away and we can cut out a big chunk of the Federal Government and vote selling by Reps and Senators. They want to be known as "taking home the bacon" but they should be out of the bacon business.

In the end it will be the taxpayers that win and the Federal Workers can get honest jobs.

I don't have the time to read through all the leftist whining on the link provided so I am going to assume that person is $#@!ing about states taking federal dollars, or dollars that go into red states.

Consider those states have high military and/or gov't facilities. So it isn't like the state is getting all the money. It isn't. The left whines over the most stupidest things.
