Cool The GOP at it's best ... Late Night Comedy

On Thursday, House Republicans will try again to repeal the Affordable Care Act, this time after pressure from freshman conservative members of the caucus who are frustrated that they have not yet had the chance to vote for a repeal.

This time around, House Republicans are fueled by the IRS scandal, because of the agency’s role in distributing funds from the law. The Washington Post reports:

Half of the billion dollars allocated to cover implementation of the Affordable Care Act went to the IRS. Starting in 2014, the agency will distribute subsidies for health-care coverage through state exchanges and issue penalties against individuals who do not get or businesses that do nor provide insurance.

The Post puts the count of repeal attempts at 36, with today marking the 37th, though the number is somewhat debatable because many of the attempts were not full floor votes. The Post has details on each attempt .

Please don't tell me what happens...I want to be surprised.

    To date ...

The Fiscal Responsible Republican Conservative GOP has cost the the US Tax payers over $55 Billion Dollars with countless Votes and hearings over ObamaCare.

but the new kids on the block in the GOP dont have a vote to repeal Obamacare yet.

They need to show their tea party base they voted against it too.

the insanity is becoming clear to people .

The republican party has nothing to offer anyone but the tea party base and they can only offer them emplty votes that effect nothing.

someone on the right better do somthing soon or their wont be anymore republican party in a few years

TM is certifiable sometimes but this is right on the money. What is going on with our party. I think we left the house after the 2008 election and forgot to turn the light back on. It is really sad to see the total lack of leadership.

Amazes me the distortions the left makes of the tea parties. The tea parties are more about changing the Rep party. Where does this distortion come from the Rep Parties is trying to please tea parties?

Obamacare 37, Republicans 0: House GOP Loses Again on Repeal Vote

They argued. They voted. They failed. Again. A Michele Bachmann-led push to overturn the Affordable Care Act went nowhere, but that’s not stopping anyone from fighting it.

Republicans want the American people to know that Thursday’s House vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act was most definitely not an act of empty political theater.

Yes, H.R. 45 has zero chance of surviving the Senate, much less the president’s veto pen. Yes, the House had already voted 36 times to repeal the law in part or in its entirety. And, yes, there may be one or two other matters on which lawmakers could be more productively expending time and energy. (Immigration reform? The budget?)

But just because Vote No. 37—this one spearheaded by former presidential candidate and noted stateswoman Michelle Bachmann—was futile does not mean it was pointless. No, siree. As the GOP leadership’s office was at pains to lecture reporters this week, Obamacare remains broadly unpopular, and therefore Republican lawmakers have an obligation to the public to keep fighting the good fight.

“This is a drumbeat,” party strategist John Feehery told me the morning of the vote. “When Obamacare starts really hitting people, the Democrats will rue the days that they voted not to repeal.”

Could it possibly be cause The Tea Party keeps putting a Tea Party Face front and center?

    I don't know ... maybe?

They're doing it on principle so they can say they did it. It's a waste of time, energy and money but they're showing their constituents that they also don't like Obamacare. This gets a big "meh" from me.
