I think we are commercializing near earth orbit, not necessarily all the way to earth. The government needs to start pushing out beyond NEO.

I think it's great that private business is moving into this area. Since our government has messed up the shuttle program and it seems the space program is largely stalled at least there is some development going on. It makes sense also as many science technologies are first found by the government / military and then eventually become adapted by private industry for common use.

It definitely makes sense. As technology progresses there will be more and more opportunities for businesses in space, and not just tourism either.
