And it’s probably why President Barack Obama won’t change the program and Republicans won’t make too much of a fuss.

Common gives us the bottom line right here, this program/policy will not change. And the Republicans won't make too much of a fuss is right on again. What Common doesn't mention......is that Candidate Obama and the American Left did make a fuss about this program/policy during Bush's Presidency, it was they who called for a "change in the program", they who called these measures "a 4th amendment violation" they who harped on about "loss of privacy."
