She didn't read that blog, either. From her source:

So to clear things up, here are 17 types of Atheists which fit into 7 sets.
From a random blogger, and if you read it... well, it actually lacks common sense. It considers a "closet Atheist" to be a category.

    Oh, and another quote:
This list is not definitive. There are many ways to organize and label different kinds of atheism.

I am an agnostic atheist, so I feel like #3 actually suits me pretty well. Keep in mind I do not feel committed to my lack of belief in any God, but so far have no reason to embrace belief.

I respect what you found in faith, would try to dissuade you, but it seems just such a personal, subjective thing: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Actually, if you read both they overlap. Jones' 17 are not groupings but attributes by which you could fit an atheist into Adelaide's groups. They really talk about the same things.

I only used excerpts of the definitions of the categories, they were further expanded on which might be worth reading.

At any rate, there certainly could be more categories but this is the conclusion of a research study. When I personally consider the things I've seen posted online, and consider that majority of the people I associate with are Atheists who mostly fit into one of those categories, I have to conclude that they are at least partially on the mark.
Nah, Jones' 17 are attributes by which you might categorize.

BTW, I would reduce it all to two categories: atheist (without theism) vs antitheist (against theism). I find most people fail to even make that distinction.

Interesting. I found myself in multiple categories.

Here's an interesting discussion that breaks it down into two dimensions like the political chart KC maintains.

    Atheist, Gnostic, Theist, Agnostic

The X axis is Atheist...Theist and the Y axis Agnostic...Gnostic, thus:

It gets more complicated, but let's just leave it two teo dimension and these questions:

"The horizontal axis concerns WHAT YOU BELIEVE.... The vertical axis concerns WHAT YOU THINK WE CAN KNOW...."

I like it. Of course I don't need a test to figure out I'd be in the top left hand corner.
