yes she said she learned a lot from him

the way she talked it was obvious she thinks he is a hero

she also said he did not want to run for president

i don't know what else she has planned this book was her thesis and then it became a book with petraeus's blessing

she is military too but also a mom and more

I wish Petraeus would run. Maybe in 2016? The country could use someone like that.

    Maybe in political circles.

Don't ask my son what he thinks of Petraeus, though. You might not like the answer. My son was in Iraq with the 101st Airborne. He has never really explained why he dislikes the General so much, but I remember he loved the name MoveOn gave him. He hinted that he was not the only soldier who felt that way.

I can say that my son's biggest problem with his experience of having been sent to Iraq 3 times was all of the lying and political garbage they were forced to endure and keep quiet about. Like what all took place the night the Muslim soldier threw a grenade into the Officer's tent in Camp Pennsylvania. Or the story of Pvt. Lynch. Or of the unlocked ammo dump outside of Baghdad that was left unattended for 2 days and WHY.

CONgress is the opposite of PROgress. Our government looks more like a couple of 5 year olds having a pouting contest.

I'll say that we've heard 2 different versions of the Jessica Lynch rescue story and seems to be very accurate. Her story of how she was captured was a source of anger for a lot of the grunts, too.

As far as another story goes, it's a real shame to lie to the family of a fallen soldier so that they won't want to view the remains. We wouldn't want questions that might force Washington to admit something they want to hide from the rest of the world.

I really can't get too specific. Not very many people witnessed certain things and you never know who may watching.

Thanks Clawhammer I agree it is not good when Washington and the military lie to make themselves look better. We deserve the truth

Yes, I meant in terms of running for President. I don't doubt there are plenty of men in the military who don't like him. You don't get to the top without stepping on some toes, unfortunate as it is. A lot of people dislike his ambition, arrogance, and the 'cult of personality' which he surrounds himself with. I think you will find those same criticisms for any popular leader.
