Are any of the other females here doing the colour blocking trend? It's pretty fickle; you have to do it right or you look just kind of ridiculous, lol. Personal trial and error speaking here.
I guess the styles go in cycles.
At least as far as professional male clothing goes, we have it easy. Not much in the way of radical options. I have 6 suits, maybe 5 dress slacks, 12 white dress shirts (with different things like collars, pockets, etc) and another 12 colored / stripped shirts. All of the shirts and most of the slacks are tailored. And a crap load of ties, but I don't wear them any more unless I am in court, or go meet someone who is really important in my work. I actually hate ties. I wish that they would go out of style.
Which is one reason I went running this afternoon. It would cost me a butt-load of money to up-size.....

It's about mixing bright colours. I've found the only way to do it without looking like a clown is to do, say, a black bottom with a bright top of one colour, a bright jacket of another bright colour, and then a bright necklace of another.
By the way, Chloe - my normal day to day hairstyles are like this (pretty much exactly):

It's so long I can't be bothered to do much special with it on a daily basis. Quick and easy and looking normal is all I need, lol
I do love the braiding that is trending. I love to braid my hair.

OK. The most that I will do is one bright or pastel shirt with everything else neutral. Just one "oddity" at a time for me.
Lol. When I was growing up those color combinations were a major faux pas. They were viewed as clashing colors. It started to change in the 60's, but I have to confess that I still have an aversion to seeing hot pink and red in combination. I'm fine with colors that are opposites on the color wheel, though they do tend to vibrate against each other, but taking non familial and also non opposite colors and opposing them still looks wrong to me.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.
