Exactly and most people would rather donate money because it's much easier.

This is a good guide on charities: http://www.charitynavigator.org/

A relatively painless way to donate is automatic withdrawal. $5 or $10 a month adds up to them, but you'll never even see it. This requires a reputable charity.

How long have you been with the Wounded Warrior Project? I've been considering them.

I donate to the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. I've donated time, lots of time to the Red Cross during Hurricaine Katrina.

My brother (ex-Marine) donates to them.

I should dig around some more, it looks like a great and needed cause.

I also enjoy being a part of Soldier's Angels. http://www.soldiersangels.org/

    I'm on my fourth "adoption".

Salvation Army, Goodwill, and a few locals that drive by to pick up. Oh, and, The Center for the Intrepid here in San Antone.

The past year. I'd heard of them before, but ran into an old Marine buddy, now a Colonel, who headed up the Wounded Warrior Regiment (http://www.woundedwarriorregiment.or...ritablegiving/ ), a slightly different group than the WWP. I ended up donating to the WWP first, but will switch to WWR in January. I use direct monthly credit card billing for WWP, but will switch a cash donation per the link in January.

Why switch? Because of your buddy or something else?
